A Fun Start to the Year!
We kicked off the year with a memorable camping trip for all of our families! The weekend was filled with laughter, adventure, and meaningful connections as new families and students got to know our current families and staff.

January Adventures
January came in with a roar
Westside Pizza Field Trip
Our students ate the best New York Pizza on our tour to learn about making and baking pizza’s at Westside Pizza in Post Falls. A BIG THANLS to Glenn Gatherer for sharing his passion for pizza and giving back to his community through his amazing pizza shop. Not a morsal of pizza was left on the pan.Dancing in PE
We danced into PE this month at Isabelle’s dance studio, Our students enjoyed learning jazz and dance group activites with Isabelle.
October Adventures
October was full of meaningful activities and opportunities to give back:
Fire Department Feast
Our students and their families came together to prepare a delicious feast for the local fire department on Sprague Street. It was our way of showing gratitude for their hard work and dedication to keeping our community safe.Helping Hands Initiative
This month, HBS set an ambitious goal: collect over 100 hats, gloves, and scarves for those in need. These donations will be shared with the Women and Children’s Department of Volunteers of America to support our community this winter.Bowling in PE
PE this month was all about bowling! Our students enjoyed weekly visits to the lanes, improving their scores and making new friends with local senior citizens who bowl regularly.

November - December Adventures
November was celebrated with learning more about our heritage and practicing mindfullness
Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture
Our students and their families experienced Native American Heritage through the art of Joe Feddersen. A bonus was being able to tour the historical Campbell house.Martial Arts in PE
PE this month was all about martial arts at SPOKANE FAMILY MARTIAL ARTS with Sensei Chad. We are learning body awareness, mindfullness and respect. Our students look forward to this adventure at Spokane Martial Arts Studio in Spokane Valley every week.
February Adventures

Learning how our water recycles and the importance of keeping our water and environment clean and safe for our use is always a valuable school tour. Our students learn so much with this interactive and fascinating tour at the water reclamation center in Spokane Valley.
